A Scornful Rebuke To Corrupt Politicians Poem by Anbudan Miththiran

A Scornful Rebuke To Corrupt Politicians

You politicians, how you blame and lie!
If I were a cop, I'd lock you up for good.
If I were a judge, I'd send you far to die
On some forsaken isle of crime and blood.
But you are lucky, for I'm neither one.
I have no power to inflict such a fate.

You politicians, how you cheat and kill!
If I were like Hitler, I would wage a war
Against your kind and wipe you out with skill.
I'd make you extinct as a race and more.
But you are lucky, for I'm not like him.
I have no violence to unleash such hate.

You politicians, how you steal and boast!
You're not as great or clean as you pretend.
I'm not as bad or dirty as my foes.
I'm just a human with some self-control.
But you should be fearful, for I'm not like you.
I have no harm to cause, only fire in my soul.
