A Second Chance Poem by Marilyn White

A Second Chance

Some wish that they could get one
When some many other do
But some how they manage to let it slip
Then there are the ones that really
Do it more than what we all think
Because you never know it could
Make a difference that could make
This world that we live in a better
Place to be free and walk without
Feeling feared of a shadows noise
To some they never see that day
Because it’s to late to turn back
The fate and hands of time
As I sit and look at the wind
I wonder why I am here listening
To this small town talk when
They don’t know anything at all
About what has happened in ones?
Past they are thinking its game but when
It turns way it’s no ones fault
