A Shaft Of Hope Poem by John Sensele

A Shaft Of Hope

Rating: 4.0

A shaft of hope sneaks into my gloom
Separates strain from joy and lifts my spirits
Flying me to cloud nine where room
For hope increases and invites tidbits of treats.

A shaft of hope knocks on my door
Separates fact from fiction and boosts my morale
Flying me to Epicurean Planet where the floor
For hope's feet metamorphoses into a convivial kraal.

A shaft of hope wipes away my loneliness
Separates present from past and injects adrenalin
Flying me to Spartan Planet where happiness
Puts me on my mettle and injects dopamine.

A shaft of hope wipes clean my slate
Separates figments of the imagination from hope
Flying me to Cupid Planet where my date
Hugs me into her amazing arms and swings me onto a serene slope.
