A Single Glance Changing a Day
I walked beneath a sky both gray and wide,
A weight of hours pressing on my chest;
Then came your glance, a spark I could not hide,
And all the ordinary found its best.
A fleeting moment, light across your eyes,
It turned the stillness into something bright;
The dullest hours wore sudden, golden skies,
And shadows fled before that quiet light.
No words were spoken, yet the world replied,
As if the universe itself had known;
A single glance, and time itself had tied
The day to joy I never thought I'd own.
So small a thing, yet vast in what it gives,
One look can shift the way a spirit lives.
