A Single Glance Changing A Day Poem by ashok jadhav

A Single Glance Changing A Day

The morning wore its usual muted grey,
Each hour passed like footsteps in the rain;
My thoughts moved on in an unremarked way,
The heart resigned to ordinary pain.
Then briefly—just a meeting of our eyes,
A moment light as breath, yet warm and true;
The world grew still, the sky seemed to arise
In brighter hues than I had ever knew.
That glance held nothing promised, nothing said,
Yet altered all the silence in my mind;
The day, once dull, wore gold where it had bled,
And left its quiet heaviness behind.
So I have learned how swiftly fate can play:
One glance can gently turn an entire day.
