A Solitaire Poem by Jhane Reyes

A Solitaire

Memories of merriment and sullen days
Penned in the mind by those sun rays
Sealed with the kiss by breeze at noon
Engraved in the heart of luster moon

In custody of wealds rushing to bloom
Those restless trees a lonely room
Hymn of larks pacified from fear in gloom
Peep of dawn a savior from tears of doom

Smile of golden sun made the day sprightly
Wild flowers magical scent cured melancholy
Stalking butterflies vanished the anxiety
Soporific sound of brook brought serenity

Climbed the steep and high mountain
Stood at the peak shouted all complain
Laid in the meadow freeing from the pain
And tuned in the music of chanting rain
