A Song Of Cycles Poem by Rubius Nox

A Song Of Cycles

A glacier stands a proud mystery unsure of its depth
Until it was touched by the light
So strange was the joy that he melted
And offered the barren meadows all that he was
Light then found the flowers and his joy left him weeping.
Each petal prayed to the sun and offered a tear.
And the rain became rivers
And the rivers were rain
Rain-rivers came clouds until
All rained again
Yet the clouds knew not
clouds and had forgotten the dew
And before water was uttered amongst them
The oceans spoke of 'the word' anew
