A Special Time Of Day Poem by Salvador Inocensio

To us who rise early,
Each morn, not yearly,
But each and every morn, daily,
Know today's morn as a new kind of morning.

The unnatural switch in time,
Gives us a morn with no sunlight,
Only the birds singing in rhyme,
Chirping of the day's delights,
Spring's warmth not the time.
Yet this morn brings us light.

The sun emerging later,
Giving only a hint, a tease,
Clouds wispy, light and in a tater,
Covering what is to be with ease,
For the morning is becoming brighter.

The light which is emerging,
Mixes with the sweet smells,
Everyone seems to be emerging,
From their nightly shells,
There everyone rests sleeping.

Brighter and brighter,
The sun rises higher and higher,
Making a morning like no other,
For this morn is the first of many others,
Man's meddling with nature, a bother,
For many, for me, a change, like no other,
Creating mornings that seem to creep to life's luster.

Now with a sun that is creeping past rooftops,
Past treetops, rising high, looking like a lollipop,
Creeping into action, a balloon rising before it pops,
Bringing us more than light, causing lights to drop.
From a scene of nature's glory, pure from raindrops,
Yet the rainbow, exists in nature's spring dewdrops.

Flowers once closed, open gently unfolding,
Bees, birds, other creatures start working,
With a gentle buzz, a cute chirp, chirping,
No noise of man or Saturday's gardening,
Yet to appear, intrusively, deafening,
Bringing to an end the beauty of the morning.

As the minutes, become hours,
I leave the morning outdoors,
Going in and starting another twenty-four hours,
Of life's riddles, questions, answers, and chores.

Till I awake, to enjoy my special time once more,
That time that I share with no one, a time I adore,
A special time real early before the doors,
Of neighbors and love ones open once more,
Leaving only it's sweet memory forevermore,
