A Spectrum Of Wisdom Poem by Mahmoud Elkourd

A Spectrum Of Wisdom

Rating: 5.0

Dark shores, choppy clouds

Sad Nature

injected by sorrowful tincture

Muddy black in sometimes,

and gray in the other…

I cannot even dare, I only can wonder…

Oh! what a horrible pressure!

Days of my life flee from one path to another

in which I can find no joy, no pleasure

broken heart, dry eyes, drunk mind

I cannot even dare, I only can wonder..

Oh! What a futile power!

Man is far away from the way of lights

I wonder like I had lost my senses..

Seeking peace, , , Seeking love, , , Seeking hope,

In the wrong parts

Love has passed away by the hypocrite hearts

Hope has been frozen by the frosty dark nights

Peace has been extorted by Man's fights

I cannot even dare, I only can wonder!

Oh! What a turbulent temper!

What is life? ! Who is Man? !

I wonder like I had lost my Mind

Fetching the beautiful books

To find what they hide…

It was said one day

'life is but a walking shadow'

and now all what I can say,

Life is but a walking sorrow

Nothing you can keep, nothing you can borrow,

And Man? !

is just an actor who swaggers his way

Down to his hollow..!

I cannot even dare, I only can wonder…

Over! And over! and over!

Oh! What a torture!

A spectrum of wisdom whispered in my ears

Inspired me in what I should believe

Believe in your heart Son,

Believe in you sweat tears,

Believe in your natural soul,

Believe in your humble fears

Still there is hope Son,

There will be beautiful white shores

There must be an end of this strife

But be aware Son;

Man chooses the way of his end,

By choosing the way of his life

Eyewash has no use

When the heart is already blind.
