A Step In Your Shoes. Poem by Marisa Unknown

A Step In Your Shoes.

I take one step in your shoes, and you walk a mile in mine.
I can see fear in your eyes, but there's nothing to hide.
I see past your person and into your soul,
A little boy curled up deep in a hole.

He cries of fear from what he hears.
I try to help him, he disappears.
I walk away confused, questions unanswered.

I take off your shoes and walk away limping, feeling used.
My feet left blistering, pain with every step.
Forget every secret that you've ever kept.
Forget the daemons inside say and from it all, just walk away.
