A Stick Figure In A 3-D World Poem by Jon Harder

A Stick Figure In A 3-D World

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I feel like a stick figure in a 3rd dimensional world.

I'm a simple soul; easy and not complex to figure out
Battle tested and true
Never change season after season

But the graphics get sharper and clearer
The definition gets more in depth
The viewpoints get crisper
And I am left in the dust
Wondering why everything has to be bigger and better
When the most simple of things
Are the most overlooked

I will continue to strive
To be something different than the rest
I don't need to be flashy
Or loaded with muscles
Or even given heavy artillery

Just give me my gusto
Give me my guts
And my Little Mac heart
And I will punch out all those who pale in comparison
To the stick figure in a 3rd dimensional world.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A multi-layered poem with feelings of being left behind in the past with the future becoming stronger and more confusing, combined with the actual intensity of a stick figure being in a 3-D world. It's rather fiery to see.
