A Story Fading Into The Wind Poem by Chen-ou Liu

A Story Fading Into The Wind

A Haibun

You'll get over it. Eventually. Everyone has to get over being in love with someone who can't love them back. Her parting words, our last embrace, the look in her eyes still linger. The image of her hand waving in the wind is frozen on my mental screen.

We met in a train station ten years earlier. The same hand beckoned me to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
