A Stroke Of Love - Poem by Lou Ethel Wade Bush

When I saw you yesterday,
A feeling came over me, anyway.
Trying to stay away from you,
Made this feeling more and more true!
This feeling for you isn't gone;
A stroke of love was shown.
After all this time past by;
A love for you still, Why?
Maybe the times we've spent,
Are letting me know where they went;
For years I've hid this desire;
Casting your pictures in fire;
Making sure there was no trace;
Of you in my place.
No matter what, I see;
A stroke of love will always be;
In my heart like this,
Because you - are what I miss!
