A Sunflower Smile Poem by Connetta Jean

A Sunflower Smile

Rating: 2.2

i started a seed
planted in early spring
Now July has ended
and she's a beautiful thing..
tall and straight
She's full grown right now..
I sowed now I'm reaping
a sunflower smile..
what more could I ask
a sunflower to be
expect tall and strong
smiling at me?
the bees are collecting
her gifts for their hives..
(so her seeds will hang heavy
in the fall when she dies) ...
But This day she is dancing
In her prime here and now..
Making her presence known
With a Sunflower smile...

There is nothing like a field of sunflowers nodding in the wind and the birds can't wait for the seeds.i've raised them, too. A ten
