A Tear Poem by Susan Alldred Lugton

A Tear

A tear,
Like a morning dewdrop
Slipping down,
A velvet cheek
,
It glistens as it forms,
Just like the feelings deep inside,
A rivulet on soft skin
A stain upon the breast,

The moment passes,
The cheek is dry,
The feelings gone
And the eye is dry.
