A Thing To Show Poem by Mathew Lewis

A Thing To Show

Rating: 2.7

Sunshine and roses and poppyseeds,
Moonlight and starbright and little leaves,
Music entwined in vacant tapestry,
Warm touch, kind eyes, all of it for free.

Do not let the years go by
Never looking to the sky,
The world is beauty and so why
Should we ever turn a blind eye.

Life is all we'll ever know,
Amidst the rain, the sleet and all the snow,
But all that water makes things grow,
And after that we'll have a thing to show.
