A Tourist On The Planet Poem by Sahil SharifdinEnglish

A Tourist On The Planet

Stop! Stop! Take a break.
Just think, for God's sake.
Where are you blindly going?
Causing yourself needless ache?

Doctor, lawyer, all shall die.
Poorest or richest, go to sky.
Honoured, insulted, known, unknown...
To Call of death, all reply.

Death is not a joke or mirth.
There may not be any rebirth.
Make your every breath count.
You are a tourist on this earth.

Live like a transient tourist.
Lie on the green floor of forest.
Hoard not gold, riyal and dollar
For your nearest and dearest.

Kiss the warm lips of rose.
Walk like cats on your toes.
Look at the beautiful starry sky.
Watch the ants moving in rows.

Notice the spider making net.
Observe the sunrise and sunset.
Ramble with beloved on sandy beach
Cuddle her on the surface wet.

Flowlike a pleasant waterfall.
Fly as a butterfly cute and small.
Give up greed, hate and crime.
Be like a peaceful prayer call.

Climb the snowy mountain peak.
Let fresh breezes kiss your cheek.
Let the wind play with your curls.
Swim for awhile in local creek.

Ignore the society, follow heart.
For ever here, you live not.
Permanent palaces are not needed.
Permanent life, none has got

Timur, Alexander, lie in ground
Silent, quiet, without sound.
Before your eyes close for ever
Relish the life's marry-go-round .

Death is a fact, verypure.
It has no medicine or cure.
Before your divine visa expires
Carry on with your earthly tour.
