A Tribute To A Parent Poem by Brenda Hayes

A Tribute To A Parent

Rating: 2.8

Death, thou art my friend, not foe--you've set this mortal free.
For trials and tribulations now no longer challenge me.
Yet, great have been the blessings of life here on the earth.
God's loving care I have known from the moments of my birth.
He beckons "Come, follow me", I have no thought of fear.
I answer now, "I'm ready Lord", as I feel Him near.
And now I find I'm ready to leave mortality,
And live in heaven's realm above--for all eternity.
