A True Tear Poem by Verilyn Titus

A True Tear

I want you to take these words and share them well...
But while your doing that be also as willing to tell...
The secrets you hide in our family...
That have not only taunted you..
But your children also, you see...
Because we have to live everyday without real explanation...
For why you have been allowed to circle the same station...
Never offering excuses or real truth to clear our name...
While we as the siblings have been her real aim...
In all her bad feelings and sad choices...
You've not attempted to console or quiet our voices...
Instead of living life like you have done for many a year...
Can you understand why I'm no longer shedding a true tear.
