A View Of Beauty Poem by Absinthe Friend

A View Of Beauty

Eyes cast on beauty are blessed by its light,
yet beauty can be seen in the black of the night,
true beauty lies beyond features and form,
beauty is not found, in itself, in the "norm."
Beauty is born from the lives that we lead,
by the tears that we cry,
by the wounds that we bleed.
The heart is the place for the beauty we hold,
yet the heart can also be ugly and cold,
to look past the face, the cover of the whole,
is to seek out the beauty that shines from each soul.
