A Virgin Grieves Poem by Satish Verma

A Virgin Grieves

There was something
metaphysical. Nostalgia? A dumb
pain comes on the surface.

Was Existential love
important? An architect has fractured
designs. A fossil wants to embrace me.

Captive thoughts will
revolt. You want to find yourself.
I will drink Yerba Santa.
