A Vision From God Poem by Michael P. Johnson

A Vision From God

A VISION FROM GOD
I saw a rose, crystal clear
In hands tender and meek
Two lips I saw, drew then near
Warmly touching my cheek

I saw the lips, caress the rose
Then fingers, gently touch
But now I know, I don't suppose
I felt it all too much

I lay awake, I hadn't dreamed
This sight was all too real
When drops of dew, on petals gleamed
A presence! I could feel

Then all around, was brilliant light
I saw more dewdrops cling
Tingling I felt with sheer delight
I thought my heart would sing

My room grew bright till all aglow
Again, that glint of dew
The meaning I may never know
But the rose I saw was You!

Your glory! Lord, was clear to see
Pink candy floss, it seemed
So thick, so dense, surrounding me
I marvelled how it gleamed

This vision Lord You truly sent
A rose, in splendid bloom
But still it's You with whom I spent
That time inside my room

Lord thank you, for Your warm embrace
I'm grateful for Your touch
Through kisses, on Your servant's face
My soul; You blessed so much.....
