A Waitingroom Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

A Waitingroom

A room to wait, a space to be,
Before the thing you're waiting to see.

A doctor's place, with posters bright,
For check-ups done, and feeling right.

A station's hum, a journey's call,
Where trains arrive, and people fall
Into seats to ride the rail.

A lawyer's door, a fancy chair,
A first impression, held with care.

Or online, a screen's soft glow,
A Zoom room waits for you to go.

A quiet pause, before the start,
A waiting room, a brand new heart,
Ready now, for what's ahead.
