A Walk Through A Minute In My Mind Poem by Tanya Bauer

A Walk Through A Minute In My Mind

My feelings have been a reason for both my smiles and my scars. Living sometimes means not caring to admit how unfair I have been to myself and others.
See my heart and stay with me even when I am gone.
Think of me in anger, laughter, tears, and song.

Smiling on cue just to get by past him, her, and you.
We are learning something new every day about swallowing pride and healing pain.
Living now choosing to be true to my inner voice,
Now smiling by choice.
