A Whisper In The Blood Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

A Whisper In The Blood

A silent shadow, creeping slow,
Hypertension's deadly flow.
No drumbeat warns, no siren cries,
Just hidden danger in disguise.

The heart, a tireless, faithful friend,
Struggles harder without end.
Each beat a strain, each pulse a plea,
Lost in the river it can't free.

The vessels, pathways of our life,
Grow weary in this silent strife.
The brain, so bright, may dim and fade,
A memory lost, a future swayed.

And stress, a constant, gnawing guest,
Steals peace and puts our hearts to test.
A job, a loss, a tear, a fear,
The body bends, the end draws near.

Headaches throb and sleep takes flight,
The world grows dim, devoid of light.
Emotions fray, a tangled thread,
Leaving us lost, and filled with dread.

But hope remains, a gentle spark,
To find the light within the dark.
Breathe deep, release the holding tight,
And choose to live with all your might.

For life is precious, beauty near,
Let's banish worry, conquer fear.
A healthy choice, a gentle hand,
Can calm the storm and heal the land.

Listen close, with open ear,
To whispers that you need to hear.
Protect your heart, your precious soul,
And make your spirit strong and whole.
