A Winter's Morn Poem by don sharma

A Winter's Morn

Rating: 2.8

Season of bare and misty coldness
The restless sun with wintry rays
Wake up the folk at dawn’s embrace
Kissing them with shrouds of ice
In weaves of morn they gather today
Ready for the day’s first wonder

Hustle and bustle gathers in this twitter
Fear of lateness to prayer they’re bitter
Ladies making eyes of deep hazel shells
Dressed in the white of the virgin snow
Acting the part of the sorrowful lover
Pursuing their pursuers with a knowing air
Only in black do their fellows do mourn
As though the heavens denied them more

Once in Church, the hymns are sung
With a fruitful choir both dreamy and awake
The dear Father’s blessing all must partake
Amen to Him they cry out loud
For today the daybreak of Christian birth
The dawn of new filled only with song
Boy child wonder stripped in Mother’s arms
Showed out to the world for an eternity yonder

it gives me a touch of a time in one's life, when it appears like everything is going adverse or like a dead feeling growing inside, still going on, don't know what's next? a great expression! rgds

A nicely drawn picture of nature and feelings.
