A Wish Poem by Amber Elzey

I wished for this day to come
now I look back and think how dumb

I sat there in my cap and gown
trying not to frown
as I realized that tomorrow
will bring lots of pain and sarrow

tears rushed to my eyes
as I tried to disguise
my sarrow for bliss
understanding how much I'll miss...
my school and my friends
realizing that yesterday was just a trend

now my life is all about money
and my world is not so sunny
