Life Poem by Amber Elzey

Life

a night alone
no interruptions by the phone
confessing their love,
love that's pure & white like a dove...

that night of pleasure came with pain
now her tears fall like rain
because she's late
she's lost all hope and she's lost all fate
the test showed it's true
but they haven't thought everything through...

now she has no job
and she doesn't want to name her child Bob
his job doesn't pay enough
which makes their life even more rough...

their families say their not supporting
she's even thought about aborting
but she hasn't told him yet
because he has his mind set...

she wants a child but not right now
and she's afraid he'll leave when she turns into a cow
she's terrified about the months to come
she can't believe that she could be that dumb...
