God took my dad
for reasons He had
Left me angry confused
and sometimes mad

Now I wonder if
it was in His plan
To put you in my life
with your loving hand

I cherish our friendship
tho short lived and new
All the years of my life
they've been short lived and few

With you I've found trust
just something I feel
Maybe just once
this friendship is real

When wishes come true
as they sometimes do
Could I wish for a dad
as special as you

No doubt in my mind
if granted a wish such as this
You're the #1 man
at the top of my list

Please trust and believe
just as I do
I've wished my whole life
for a dad just like you
