A Wishful Memoir By Jhb Poem by Julian Bhojwani

A Wishful Memoir By Jhb

I

Think of time as a blessed sign.
Its contents filled with laughter far at mind.
The joy filled me full beyond any other,
As the giggles of the night filled us with heavenly bother.

II

Through conversations, we made lovely waves,
Waves that bent and curve like grand lakes.
Then came the moments that were so beautiful at any glance,
When all you see were their smiles and laughter of pure significance.

III

Ah yes, these are the moments we were at best.
Spreading joy to all like some merry fest.
We were the kings and queens of the world,
As everything goes pass us like a lollipop's swirl.

IV

It was nothing short of beauty we were making,
Minding as little of the blasted time whilst it passes us by,
Nor did we bother to think of any problems that came to say hi.
In short, we all felt nothing less than beautifully blessed.

V

I admit, there were times upon which we cried,
But there were happier times to which I took side,
To be on a losing yet mindful joke-streak with him,
Or to be on the side of a winning comedian that wouldn't dim.

VI

Oh, but then one of us brings out a special tool,
One that captures the beautiful smiles and laughter we had into a pool.
To us, it had only one function during the time,
To make memories that would dearly last anyone a lifetime.

VII

And so she took it with a full-arms reach,
Attracted immediately as if we were just moments from the beach.
She wouldn't stop snapping at every wonderful moment,
Making our very emotions ever so worrisome with intendment.

VIII

It was demeaning to why time passes us by.
As we wished only for one thing before the beds we lie,
That more wonderful things would come to us in the future,
Reeling our youth to something worth seeking, and enjoining for sure.

IX

Of a joyous future that most would desire ten times any fold.
Of a beautiful moment with those our hearts hold.
A moment of realisation to bountiful and joyous wealth we own.
That is guaranteed to bring anyone pure joy as time had shown.

X

My friends, I dearly, undoubtedly thank you all.
For giving me not one, but hundreds of things too tall.
Things that I'll be able to carry far into a night of falling stars,
As the merits of my youth demand our beautiful memoirs.
