A Woman's Cry Poem by Tiana Sutton

A Woman's Cry

When she cries, the room is silent and he watches as the tears run down her face. He says he didn't mean to, he loves her, and it'll never happen again. She nods, she's scared and will say/do anything for him to calm down. She doesn't believe him, but she wants to; she wants to know that she is loved and wanted and is of worth to somebody if not anybody. He holds her and tells her stop crying, that if she would've did what he said in the first place, none of this would've happened; a lie that she's heard many of times. It's not her fault and she knows this, yet something in her just doesn't know for sure. She's brain washed into thinking she has no where else to go besides him but is scared for her life and wants to escape.....SHE CRIES!
