A Wonderous Toy Poem by Dean Bottomlley

A Wonderous Toy

Damien Smith, a quiet boy
Had found himself a wondrous toy.
He played with it both night and day
Enjoying it in every way.

His parents frowned and said "Thats bad
Doing that will send you mad"
He ignored what his folks said,
And also played with it in bed.

He kept his toy a secret though
Did not want his friends to know.
They might not have one good as his
And anyway it's not their Biz! !

But oh his little stick so bare
Was now topped off with lots of hair!
It was plain for all to see
His little toy was now a tree!

So now his toy he sometimes shared
Just with those who really cared.
He found a friend to make his wife
And they shared the toy for all their life.

The moral here is plain to see,
Obvious to you and me.
Ignore the critics, it's just silly
Until you die, enjoy your willie! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
