A World We See Poem by Miiya Skky

A World We See

How is it that this life seems so much worse then the scary tormenting stories we use to hear as children.
The reality that's set like an alarm clock day in and day out can only for so long bear us the sound to awake in the world that makes our nightmares our safe haven.
Our fears we grew up to believe have now become our life, like a child's cry in the middle of the night. It's the feeling we get of pain, a sinking feeling of the heart drowning in the tears of its own torterous prison.
Mysteriously painful and elusive, nearly incomprehensible to those who have not experienced it to the extreme.
Its like an illness many individuals will embark on, consuming it like a disease that bleeds out the chaos of a catastrophic event. A bended knee, and a silent prayer cannot even help the world everyone neglected to care & love. A gift that was given to us to nurture and protect but failed. We fear the call death bestows upon us, scared of the unknown and a forever dream we lay silent in. A barrier now broken, no longer a chance to falter in forgiveness.
Given to us was a gift of life, hope and growth. A life we continue to destroy even without knowledge.
Why fear death, when its death we hold within ourselves. Changes is the key, hidden is the door, finding it is another story....
