A Wounded Heart Poem by Adesiyan Saheee

A Wounded Heart

Before the kids lies thy ribs
And thy lips that shows unfeigned
Distance, a barrier that thy call insane
Night... The area where we toast and reigned
After getting besotted; in each arms we lay

Once thy care gnawed on my trust
Plating my heart with rosy flowers
O'er my thoughts; anchored thy love
W'ere joy with happiness accedes all hours
And none of me could shun or scoff

Oh! My boyo

My boyo Prelude my mind for the cloudy journey
Bowing to my family even to little Jonny
Nice friends such as Fred:
Brave the antechamber accoutred
And grace our austere in bedight

Church! Catholic church was the soken
Where the right words were spoken
Diamond Ring remain thy token
My Chained lips were also broken
And a foetus was gladly woken

Thou opined we go some mile
Whilst mom and daddy smile
Where me thought just to fly
And hope it could be long as Egypt nile
Silence! ... Pop! ! Appear a dark and rile

Oh! My hero

My hero decayed rapidly to vampire
No limo for days but a wan attire
Happiness and joy all burn in fire
Readily sucking out my soul and my desire
For no asphyxia, Anoxia won't retire

Now my efforts nurtured thy wrath to grow
Even questions puncture thy worst to blow
Fist, whips and bruises on my skin they show
No balm of Gilead ready to flow
And when this will end, I, don't know

Where are my indiscipline wrongs
That thou sing me a woe songs
Must I be nimble and strong
To survive thy razor tongue
Hast thou beguiled my feelings all long

Surcease! The dark

the dark blackened thee out;
And forced thy aghast to sprout
When court cuddled innocent kids
Mouth confined in fingers' lids
to not ablaze the kids with alarum

All asked are double paid
And pains and troubles, raid
Pitying tears mop the furniture
Hope not to die in the next fixture
For thou had made me a caricature

Heart got auscultated by Stethoscope
Doctor penned a drug for syncope
Praying for enough serenity to cope
Sufferness and tears become a dope
Just wish to tomb I don't slope.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A WOUNDED HEART talk about an innocent pretty lady who was so eager to love. She found herself a man who appeared to be caring and loving from the start and gradually, her youthful years became gray.

That was never what she planned for. She got bittered everyday wondering why she had to keep damming her eyes for tears.

She stood by this ill love till her dying day because she believe she had made a vow and promises before the priest and her God and breaking those vow could bring her unbearable consequence in this world and hereafter.
