A Wounded Stranger In The Night Poem by Devrim Kande

A Wounded Stranger In The Night

Rating: 5.0

Drizzling rain across the foyer
Heated debates deep in my thoughts
Take me away from here
Sick and tired of these lonely ports

Struggling to cope with her loss
May i be the map, to her-unknown flight
A wicked test edging me towards
A wounded stranger in the night

I deny me our song, without you
That soulful key on the piano
The sound....
The hold of our hands....what is to follow
More Still...in the room...maybe a glow

Adorn to the tune, with you
Let the drums roll in
The swivel....
Flesh to flesh....albeit so slow
Instant desires....controlled...embrace the flow
