Abandoned Manor Poem by malithi aradhya jayawardhane

Abandoned Manor

Rating: 4.0

Abandoned on the hillside,
Forgotten to the time,
Left it's mark by life,
Lingering feelings, empty dreams,
Battling gray-white walls for precedence,
Toddler's laughter, eerie moans,
memories afloat behind dull walls
Directing it's vacant stare
The broken shutters beaming at
the slanted rays of closing light
Left to the time, overgrown lawn
Shelters the chortling of little ones
perpetual stares, Thread of a bygone canvas
Haunted by echoes long lost,
whispers of silence, Abandoned
