[For Ye 'Beji]
Like the fabled
Iroko tree of bygone years.
An extraordinary specimen of
strong, beautiful humanity
reared gloriously in the House of Olisa.
My one true African Queen
Inundated with innumerable kindnesses.
Shoulders seemingly frail and weak
from a lifetime of incredible, selfless toils
yet blessed abundantly
with incredible mental fortitude.
One that bonds together the differing pieces
of this uneasy familial constitution.
Countless Sacrifices
of untold magnitude.
Countless recipient
of untold ingratitude.
For you are the greatest
amongst women.
Walk tall always for you
are held with deep reverence.
