Abroad Thoughts From Home Poem by Mike Green

Abroad Thoughts From Home

Oh to be in England, why
It's so peaceful there
There's the lonely sea
And the sky
And nightingales in Berkeley Square
The grandeur of the Yorshire moors
The beauty of the Dales
The memory of them all endures...
But I'd rather be in Wales

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Apologes to Browning, Masfield and everybody else. An obvious parody of nationalist yearnings from an ex pat who's glad not to be in England...or Wales.
