Acceptance Poem by Zena Blank

Acceptance

You point out all my flaws
Every word pushing and pushing
Until the edge is reached
I break after the fall
Seeing that you cannot accept what I am
You want the child that you dreamed of
The one who can be everything I'm not
I want you to see
That I'm not so bad
You can't though
You only see a failure
I guess that's want I am
A failure
