Acceptance And Enlightenment Poem by Josh Macca

Acceptance And Enlightenment

i am not one to wildly claim superb intelligence
nor do i share the company of fools
in Darkness -
my mediocre observations inform
embarrassed, rejected
a long given gesture ignored
blinded by will and desire
monumental affection and awe
an unobtainable beauty
dancing in smoky dreams
vanishing in waves of waking light
the trees outside weep
or do they imitate to mock?
(chuckle) - a pun -
for recognised is the face in the window reflected
which mocks the face in its imitation
i am not one to wildly claim superb intelligence
nor do i share the company of fools
until i awoke this very morning
