Accused A Liar Poem by Alyson Leoffler

Accused A Liar

Light us aflame, the only lovers still alive
Smoke the ashes of our beloved dead
We won't think of what we're doing,
Smoke will fill our empty heads
You falling asleep with me
What could this be?
Not another tragedy.
The substitutes for our lives together
Fills my heart totally.
I need the remedy for you not being here with me.
It's too bad really,
Needles are for piercing not sewing broken hearts.
I miss you so much, I don't even believe it.
I miss us together, I can't replace it.
I thought you were using me for revenge,
And I fell apart again.
I couldn't stop, I was spiraling down,
But you caught me before I hit the ground.
I need the remedy for you not being here with me.
It's too bad really,
Needles are for piercing not sewing broken hearts.
Dying slowly as I fell,
I started falling faster still.
I was thinking in my head,
And I decided that I will.
I'd do it yet again.
I thought you'd accused a liar.
If it weren't for you I would've done it yet again.
I would've set myself on fire.
I had the gasoline, all set up in front of me.
And in my head I suddenly heard you call for me,
Now I have no regrets, you saved me yet again.
I finally found the remedy for you not being here with me.
I don't care really,
I don't need needles, you fixed my broken heart.
