Ache So Thick Poem by Ruth Verch

Ache So Thick

Completely alone, I sit here in vain.
Eyes swollen and sore, my heart's filled with pain.
Steadily falling, my tears cascade along the page.
A kaleidoscope of emotions, engulfed by my rage.
Your words cutting deep, bleeding me dry.
Haughty and shallow, I wish you'd just die.
This total betrayal has ripped me apart.
I'd pick up the pieces but haven't the heart.
