Achieving My Life's Goals Poem by David Boyce

Achieving My Life's Goals

When I leave this earthly place,
Don't ever feel sad,
Think of all the good I've done,
Forget all of the bad.

Before I leave this earthly place,
I want to digest all I did well,
Before I get to the pearly gate,
I know I don't deserve hell.

I think about my childhood days,
With the upbringing which I had,
Being blessed with many great siblings,
And an amazing mam and dad.

I can look at my teenage years,
When I met my loving wife,
The strongest person I know,
Who stood alongside me all my life.

I have written hundreds of poems,
Which I've self published worldwide,
An achievement that will forever be,
That makes me feel proud inside.

We produced two gorgeous daughters,
Who have part of me within their souls,
So when I leave this earthly place,
I know I achieved my life's goal.
