Act Of History Poem by Riyaz Yamish

Act Of History

Milieu of antiquity
Modernized by acumen.
Made and marred by
Marvrllous power men.
Masked they?
Mourning malady of ruin.

Enemies of oldness are
Europeans?
Eradicated the profound symbols.
Exterminated the lofty signs.
Everyone is still silent here
Escapes from dead man's lips
Enigma does stand here? .
Engrossed in crux of histories.

Save our cultural heredity.
Sort out wreckage.
Soul scrounges the quality
Stood in disparage.
So sure in world of words
Still roots our our equality.

Obliterated its model
Of civilisation.
Orientalized the oodle
Of ancient culture.
Once the cradle
Of civilization fold on

Point your mind in
Preserved remnant on Baghdad.
Prop up on brief in
Prominent museum of old
Provenance of ruin
Pricks all muem qualm shed.

Okay legacy nurtured
Occident invaded
Owned people's hatred.
Orient intruded.
Obselete, in it, had
Oblivion here laid.

Trash of building
Torn to crumbling
Tally of old uprising
Taught the preaching of
Topsy-turvy being
Then tornado blowing.

Once again rooted
Out of giant culture.
Only when I reminded
Other world's torture
Oof! Not be there found
Oomph remained in Baghdad.

Made all world cute
Mar the cities clear
Mammon, the word here mute.
Marathon, olympics is rare
May the Lord root
Mixed one true with liar.

Iraq, the nest
Illusion sits there.
Inclined to remnant
In history's rear.
Imparted all now to root
In civilization's sepulchre.

Assyrian, Babilonyan,
Arabian, Egyptian,
American, European,
African, Mayan,
All of civilization
Act made by historian
All are, but, in vain.
