Actor Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

Actor

What to write and what not to write -
to what extent I can be honest to you
whether my script is what I am
or I am not what I want to be.
Such questions and conflicts -
cinema on the street and in so many hearts -
acting everywhere, only they do not see;
addicted to Netflix, they're never free.
What you said, you did not mean
I was straight but you saw me lean,
Gleam in eyes in the depth of grief
to me and myself dear, I am a thief.
This is how it all has been,
seen a few, most unseen!
