Ad Finum Poem by Dhamani wanjiru

Ad Finum

It's all back to where it started, the vicious cycle, the rut, ..
Always determined to take my sanity
Poison my world with boredom and solitude
Tears in my eyes, when will this river dry
When will I ever for once spread my wings and be allowed to fly
Or was I subjected to cocoon?
Denied of air and breath, yet I am still here suffocating
Yet I am sustained even though it isn't my best choice
If I was to be given a wish, I would ask to sleep eternally
Never to know heaven or hell, never to face God or devil
