Addiction Poem by bianca ayala

Addiction

addiction
the demon that grabs your arm
and takes you to places
you never imagined you'd go to
takes your eyes out
sticks them in that world
you never wanted them to be in

leads you to the path
you never imagined you'd walk on
ties you up on the chair of despair
drinking bitter sorrow
thinking your soul he can borrow

swearing you won't get hurt
that it's worth it,
making you fall again, and again
the wounds won't heal anymore
for there is no medication in the meditation
your heart shrinks and get swallowed,
in the dark deep hollows
trapped in the jail of horror.
