Like a rainbow in the sky
You came in my life,
I was fascinated by your grace.
But oh I forget,
A rainbow appears
Only to disappear!
So, you will one day
Leave me forever!
To colour someone else's sky
Who is waiting somewhere
With his windows wide open.
So, o my gentle rainbow
Adieu! adieu !

Like the alluring voice
Of a cuckoo,
Enchanting the morning breeze,
You brought delicacy
In my life,
I lost myself in loveliness.
But I hear someone's
Dumbing cry of seclusion
In some distance hamlet.
Fly there at once,
Let him taste
The melody of your song!
So, o my sweet bird
Adieu! adieu!

Like the morning glow
Of the bright sun,
Dissolving the night's curse,
You brightened my life!
I thank you today.
But now
You must go there,
Where another one
Is waiting his dismal night,
To be eclipsed with your presence!
So, o my dear sun
Adieu! adieu!
