Here I Stop Poem by Priyaranjan Ojha

Here I Stop

Rating: 3.5

A spider falls hundred times
Still takes a new effort to climb,
But here I stop reaching you.

An egret waits single-legged
Moment after moment to prey a fish,
But here I stop awaiting you.

An infant totters in every step
Still goes on learning walking,
But here I stop learning you.

A poet gets his brain sun-burnt
Still searches the fittest word,
But here I stop searching you.

A loving father rebukes son vehemently
Still concerns his mental health,
But here I stop concerning you.

An emotional mother heartily expects
Shortly return of her missing child,
But here I stop expecting you.

An erudite dares to hope
Where hope itself meets death,
But here I stop hoping you.

A pantheist finds God
Even in the body of a wild beast,
But here I stop finding you.

A Christ-lover cherishes belief
Of His promised resurrection,
But here I stop resurrecting you.

Sounds more like a feeling that you were trying to pursue rather than a person.. All in all, it's wise to set boundaries, for our own good. Good read. Be well, -RH
