Aegis Of Dream Poem by Connor J. Wade

Aegis Of Dream

In a dream it is possible to grasp
Oceans vast and all the tumult within,
For in a dream's embrace do we at last
Welcome every fear and vicious whim;
But on waking we grow cold and afraid,
Losing this aegis of dream, as it were -
Shivering in shadows, static and staid -
And we fall, fall again into nowhere.
